Pawshare Club’s First Month of Events: A Tail-Wagging Success inCollingwood and Blackburn

In January 2025, dog lovers from across Melbourne came together at Lulie Tavern in Collingwood and Blackburn Lake for the very first in-person meetups of Pawshare Club, following the soft launch of our beta version on December 24, 2024. It was a heartwarming sight as pet parents
and dog enthusiasts came together to celebrate their furry friends, share stories, and build a strong community of support.

The Pawshare Club, a dedicated community for dog lovers, aims to foster friendships and provide reliable support for pet care when members are unavailable. The events marked the beginning of a new chapter for the club, transitioning from online interactions to real-life connections.

Highlights of the events

Lively Atmosphere

Lulie Tavern proved to be the perfect venue, with its pet-friendly vibe and spacious outdoor area. The air
was filled with joyful barks and laughter as dogs of all shapes and sizes mingled and played. It was clear that
the pups were just as excited about the event as their humans!

Meanwhile, Blackburn Lake Sanctuary offered a serene and picturesque setting for our second meetup. With
shady spots near the water and plenty of open space for the dogs to run, it was a hit with both two-legged
and four-legged attendees. The cool breeze near the lake made for a refreshing summer outing, leaving
tails wagging and hearts full.

New Friendships

The event provided a golden opportunity for members to meet face-to-face, exchange contact information,
and discuss potential dog-sitting arrangements. Many new friendships were forged, and there was a
genuine sense of community spirit. Members shared their experiences, challenges, and joys of being pet
parents. There was also a dedicated corner where people could share and exchange tips on dog care,
training, and health.
